St. Ann, Hornell

St. Ann School is a PreK - 6 Catholic School with approximately 100 students enrolled today. St. Ann School was founded by Reverend Michael Creedan in 1860 in a frame house. The first brick building was constructed in 1888 by Father James M. Early. During the long history of St. Ann School the building, faculty, and classrooms have changed many times, but the one constant factor has been the sound spiritual and academic education provided to tens of thousands of children.

St. Ann School is committed to the development of the whole child within an atmosphere permeated with Christian values. We share with parents the responsibility of fostering spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical growth of children of all faiths. Our graduates have gone on to become heart surgeons, administrators, teachers, doctors, lawyers, real estate personnel, entrepreneurs, priests and religious, loyal parents and dedicated parishioners.

Educating our students in academics and motivating them to become vital members of their faith communities requires special teachers. Our teachers inspire students to recognize and work toward their fullest potential. They are investing their time, energy and teaching talents in a brighter future, through the education of our young people.
