Coming Soon to Your School…

The Diocese of Rochester is preparing to unveil a new student information system in all if its Catholic schools that will provide access to secure, real-time student information through a web browser. PowerSchool is expected to create an interactive and stronger dialogue between parents, students and teachers.

PowerSchool provides parents and students with real-time information on grades, attendance, homework, scores, teacher comments, school bulletins and much more. It will help parents and students answer questions like:

Did my child make it to class on time this morning?
What's tonight's homework?
What was my score on yesterday's quiz?
What's my current grade in English?
“We are excited to offer this useful communication tool,” said Superintendent of Catholic schools, Anne Willkens Leach. “We are confident it will help to strengthen the important bond between students, parents and teachers.”

Diocesan teachers and administrators have been getting acclimated to PowerSchool, and its companion application, PowerTeacher, for the past several months. The Diocese expects the new student information system to be available to students and parents in the coming weeks.

“I would like to thank Richard Braxton (Information Technology) and Ann Frank (Coordinator of Professional Growth for Catholic schools) for their tireless effort on this project,” said Willken Leach.
